Menjangan Island is a small island, located at the west of Bali. According to the name, this island is inhabited by the deer (wild deer species). This island is part of the West Bali National Park area. The main attraction of this island is in the beautiful underwater scenery, in addition, the island is uninhabited. Because of the beauty of the underwater scenery, the island became one of the best locations for diving and snorkeling in Bali.

Why is it called by Menjangan Island? The word “Menjangan” comes from the Javanese language which means deer. Every spring season there are a lot of wild deer swim to the island with a mileage of 1.2 miles. On the island, there are many dears that for a longer time, the amount of the deer is decreasing. So the government made it as West Bali National Park. This is a government effort to build conservation in order to preserve the deer and biodiversity that existed there are many wild deer whose number is decreasing.
